trying to escape writers blockSo I read this article about how to creatively escape writers block, so here is the exercise:
-Your two main characters have to change a flat tire, in the rain. (This exercise helps you to learn more about your characters through handling adversity—which can be very telling!)
And here is the result
"What the hell was that?"
"It was a bloody good jolt, that's for certain—I think you might've gone off the road for a minute."
"Of course I didn't go off the road, you prat—I'm not that bad of a driver."
"That's a good laugh, Crow. I've got a damn prosthetic and I drive better than you—wait, what the hell are you slowing down for?"
"I'm not slowing down! I haven't even taken my foot off the gas!"

SKIPPING WITH HAPPINESStoday has been the best day.
why:
i went to my Independent Research: Drawing class, which i signed up for late. so i didn't know quite what to expect, having not been to class yet. the only thing my professor told me to bring to class was a drawing i'd worked on or completed lately...
do you realize how vague that is? my mind went into overdrive. should i bring a large one that was more conceptual? should i grab a still-life? a comic? i was losing it. but then my dad, who is good friend with my professor, having been a grad student under his teaching, tells me to show my professor what i LIKE to do.
thus, i take the Hunger Games drawing i've been coloring, and a completed Blaire design.
i was so embarrassed when i showed him my cartoons, that i started rambling about how i'd like to go into animation, and he stops me. he asks me what materials i need to do that. i kinda freeze, cause i wasn't anticipating that at all. but then i spit out that i hadn't thought about anything spec

sorry i've been MIA for so long, you guys! i don't mean to be so neglectful- and i couldn't for the life of me ever take your love for granted. i'm constantly surprised by how much attention my dA gets.

but anyway, school's started and i've been moving into my new apartment (yay!) and working on commissions- so, in short, it's been busy. but you know what? the next time i can get to a scanner, my first order of business is going to be to upload a new page for Junk of the Heart.

because i need to follow through with the things i commit to.
